About the Role

Dwelly is an AI-first lettings and property management company that grows by acquiring independent letting agencies across the UK and rebuilding their operations on its own technology, rather than selling software into agencies that keep working the old way. Every agency it brings on brings its own manual processes for handling landlords, tenants and providers, and turning that patchwork into reliable, automated systems is what makes the acquisition model work at scale.

You'll build the agentic infrastructure behind that automation: the memory, tool-calling, orchestration and feedback loops that let AI agents handle communication and workflow across landlords, tenants, agencies and providers reliably enough to run in production, not just in a demo. You'll also build the evaluation and observability layer needed to trust a new agentic workflow before it goes live, and use coding agents and agentic development practices as part of your own day-to-day engineering.

This isn't a research role, and it isn't a single bolt-on AI feature. Dwelly already has AI-driven flows running in parts of the business; the next stage is turning those one-off builds into reusable infrastructure that lets new workflows go live in days rather than weeks as the company keeps acquiring agencies.

What They're Looking For

• You've built and shipped an agentic or LLM-powered system that has run in production, not just a prototype or a single API call bolted onto an app.
• You think in terms of agents, tools, context management, orchestration, evaluation and feedback loops, and can talk through how you've applied those concepts to a real system.
• You use AI coding agents as a core part of your own engineering workflow, and you're comfortable decomposing tasks across agents or subagents and checking their output.
• You have a strong backend engineering foundation - comfortable with TypeScript/Node.js, or with Python and willing to apply that experience in a TypeScript-first environment.
• You have strong architectural judgement: knowing when to reach for an LLM, when to use deterministic software, and when a human still needs to be in the loop.
• You're comfortable with ambiguity and want to shape the architecture and tooling for agentic systems early, rather than join an already-established platform team.
