About the Role
ModelML builds an AI data-integration and analysis platform that automates document processing, transcription, and natural-language data retrieval for enterprise customers — the kind of workloads where security and compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) aren't nice-to-haves, they're table stakes. Their platform is deployed inside some of the world's most sensitive financial data environments, and following a $75M Series A in November 2025, they're scaling the infrastructure underneath it. This role sits at the centre of that work, reporting directly to the founders.
You'll architect and operate the infrastructure that ModelML runs on — K8s clusters, Terraform-managed cloud resources, Dockerised services, and GitHub Actions pipelines for backend, frontend, and data. You'll prepare infrastructure for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits, drive product-wide observability and on-call, monitor and control cloud costs, and build the guardrails that let product engineers ship fast without compromising enterprise-grade controls.
What They're Looking For
- You have 4–7 years of platform, infrastructure, or DevOps experience, ideally in a startup or high-growth/high-load environment, with a track record of owning infrastructure end-to-end
- You've designed Terraform modules others build on, and you've designed GitHub Actions CI/CD at platform level
- You've implemented logging, metrics, and tracing in production, and you know your way around VPCs, private networking, DNS, load balancers, VPNs, and firewalls
- You've provisioned and scaled production databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL) and blob storage, and you're strong in Python or Bash for automation
- You've worked through SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR processes and understand how infrastructure decisions map to audit evidence
