About the Role

ModelML builds an AI data-integration and analysis platform that automates document processing, transcription, and natural-language data retrieval for enterprise customers — deployed inside some of the world's most sensitive financial environments where SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR are non-negotiable. Following their $75M Series A in November 2025 — reportedly the largest fintech Series A on record — they're scaling the team that builds the product surface, and this role reports directly to the founders.

You'll design and ship across the stack — React and Next.js on the front end, Python (Django/FastAPI) services on the back, and CI/CD, containers, and cloud deployments on the way to production. You'll collaborate directly with the founders, the growth team, designers, and other engineers on high-impact features, build out background workers and Redis-backed queues, contribute to infrastructure planning in AWS, GCP, or Azure, and mentor junior developers as the team grows. This is a true full-stack role with founder access — not a front-end seat with backend tickets bolted on.

What They're Looking For

• You have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience and a portfolio of products you've shipped end-to-end
• You've built and run production applications in React and Next.js — not just touched them in a side project
• You're strong on the backend in Python (Django or FastAPI preferred) with solid relational and/or NoSQL database fundamentals
• You're comfortable with cloud infrastructure, Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, and you've used Git in real collaborative workflows
• You've implemented background workers and task queues (Celery, RQ, or similar) and you're fluent with Redis for caching, pub/sub, or job queues
• You're product-minded, you mentor more junior engineers, and you're comfortable working close to founders in a fast-shifting environment
